Can I have a cracker with my cheesy christmas jumper please…

It is December and the official season of the hideous christmas jumper. The more outrageous and ugly the better! I bet our parents never thought in their wildest of dreams that we would all be sporting the terrible jumpers they got given by their parents or grandparents every year, let alone witnessing us going out and actually buying them! They have become quite the fashion statement and no christmas dinner is complete without them.

Ugly christmas jumpers have even become a theme for christmas parties – a cracking theme if i may say so myself! Topman have done a great range this year, often check the mens section over the ladies – far more choice! Also, Primark have been known to do some good/tacky ones. Or if you’re willing to splash a wee bit of cash head to Urban Outfitters who have done some simply outrageously beautiful ones – think along the lines of sequined christmas puddings! I wouldn’t normally advocate such a statement but when choosing a christmas jumper just think ‘the uglier the better’!

Dinosaurs christmas jumper – I don’t think there could be one better!

This is just one of many of designs from Urban Outfitters.

The one and only Twiggy sporting an original christmas/alpine number – i love the neck line on this knitted jumper.

Have fun with them this winter season – it’s one of the only time you will be able to wear something so outrageous and feel ‘cool’ in it!

  1. Hi there! Loving your blog, my name is Katie Elliott I am the creater of Tag a ( The website works like this: each week I announce a new fashion trend, and people then tag themselves on Facebook wearing that trend. This is done by tagging their picture with the Tag a Trend Facebook page. The best pics then appear on my site.

This week’s trend is Christmas Jumpers and as can see you are loving the trend, I thought you might be interested in getting involved and tagging yourself in a Christmas jumper. The picture will appear on both my site and Facebook (both with a direct link back to your blog.)

    Look forward to your tag!
